Does anyone know where to find an adapter for a fine thread spigot?

I recently discovered that the water spigot at the back of my house has a finer thread than the normal thread for garden hoses. The spigot on the front works (same as normal hose) but I can’t figure out why there is a finer thread on the one in the back. Anyone run across this?

A hardware store should carry it like Home Depot, etc. or if you have a small local hardware. I’ve been very surprised at all the stock they have. Or do you have a Green Thumb nearby? You could call and ask them. Good luck!

Without seeing it, I would suspect the previous owner used “pipe thread” instead of “hose thread”. They make adapters. RScott
